In the Upanishads, saumya is not only a description. It is the word a teacher uses when turning to address a student. Uddālaka calls his son somya right through the teaching: gentle one, my dear. উপনিষদে সৌম্য কেবল একটি বিশেষণ নয়। এটি সেই সম্বোধন, যা দিয়ে একজন শিক্ষক ছাত্রের দিকে ফেরেন। ছান্দোগ্য উপনিষদে উদ্দালক তাঁর ছেলেকে বারবার সৌম্য বলে ডাকেন — বৎস, প্রিয়।
So the name is not about a teacher's authority. It is about how a teacher speaks to a small child. তাই নামটি শিক্ষকের কর্তৃত্ব নিয়ে নয়। নামটি এই নিয়ে যে, একজন শিক্ষক একটি ছোট শিশুর সঙ্গে কীভাবে কথা বলেন।

The worry in a Bengali household is rarely that a child will not know English. Every board teaches English. বাঙালি বাড়ির দুশ্চিন্তা সাধারণত এই নয় যে ছেলেমেয়ে ইংরেজি জানবে না। ইংরেজি সব বোর্ডেই পড়ানো হয়।
The worry is the day that child is twenty-two, sitting in an office in Pune or Bengaluru or Gurugram, and cannot hold a room in Hindi. দুশ্চিন্তাটা সেই দিনটা নিয়ে, যেদিন সেই ছেলে বা মেয়ের বয়স বাইশ, সে পুনে বা বেঙ্গালুরু বা গুরুগ্রামের কোনও অফিসে বসে আছে, আর হিন্দিতে ঘরভর্তি লোকের সামনে নিজের কথাটা বলতে পারছে না।

Our curriculum is experiential and NEP-based. Sand, water, blocks, clay, stories, songs, counting things a child can actually hold. Most of our children will not have. We write a settling-in plan with you in the first week and we adjust it as we go.
